Many lecturers in theological colleges have received training in biblical studies, doctrine, church history, and other theological subjects. Unfortunately, very few have received any training in how to teach well. TALHITE is a three-phase online short course for theology lecturers comprising a week of intensive online engagement, a time of practical implementation and a further week of reflection. The course is assessed by means of a demonstration lesson and reflective journal through which you will be able to put into practice the knowledge and skills you have gained through this course.
Dr Caroline Seed has been instrumental to TALHITE at GWC and reflects on the impact she’s seen in facilitating it. “Many participants came to me at the end of their training to say that it had transformed their understanding of theological research and that they felt confident about writing a proposal for a theological research article.”
TALHITE is one of the four short courses that GWC will be offering in 2024. However, unlike Biblical Theology, Mark’s Gospel and Reading Your Culture (which are open to anyone), you must be a lecturer in a theological college or similar institution in order to complete the practical work at the core of TALHITE.
