2024 study options:
The following study options are still open for 2024:
- Audit Stand-Alone Modules (Undergraduate) – contact mode
- Audit Stand-Alone Modules (Postgraduate) – hyflex mode
- Short Course in Teaching and Learning for Higher Theological Education (120 learning hours) – online
Please have a digital copy of your ID and a profile photo ready before you start the application process.
If this is your first time logging into the GWC portal, you may be asked to complete your personal information, before you can apply for your study option.
Our 2025 admissions cycle is open.
Applications for any of our study options should be made online via the Nexsis application portal.
When you apply you will need to:
- Create a new account
- Check your spam/junk mail for emails from our NOREPLY@gwc.ac.za address during the application process
- Please click the ‘refresh’ button if a page is not loading
- Upload all the required documents
- Pay your application fee (see 2025 Fees Schedule)
- Once your application is complete, and before you are accepted, you may be invited to complete an entrance assessment and/or an interview

International Students
You are urged to apply to study at GWC as soon as possible as it can take several weeks to secure a study permit. Please ensure you apply for a South African study permit as soon as you can. If you require a bursary and are awarded one, you will receive confirmation of your bursary on 28 October 2024. Please book your visa appointments as soon after this date as possible.
For accredited programmes
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
RPL may be applied for access, credits from modules and credits for or towards the qualification as per the college’s RPL/CAT policies. Ensure you submit an RPL for admission form during the application. Admission through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is permitted for a maximum of 10% of the enrolment for any year. See the Student Handbook for details of RPL procedures
Credit transfer (CAT)
Credit transfer should be applied for after you have been accepted into a programme. Credit transfer applications become available in your portal once you have been accepted. Credit transfer applications must be made before the start of your programme.
